And then they scattered (or tried to through a couple of choked freeways) as Rita threatened to unleash her fury on the 4th largest city in the US. 4 hour drives taking 16, road raged (?) individuals brandishing rifles, gas less vehicles stalled although not making too much difference to the traffic flow, people pulling over and dozing off,airport security lines snaking to the entrance...
After all that, Rita decides to meander off of Texas into LA,AR or who knows were. And the same 1.5 million trying to make their way back to home and normal routine. As for me, the unexpected vacation seems to be coming to a sooner end than anticipated, but hey as long as Houston has been spared...
